The world of Star Wars has been set alight by the announcement from Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, at the celebrated Star Wars Celebration event held in London. The latest revelation to emerge from the gathering is the news that Daisy Ridley, who captured audiences with her portrayal of the fearless and determined Rey, will once again grace the silver screen with her presence. The upcoming live-action Star Wars film, directed by the talented Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, the renowned director of Ms Marvel, is set to take place in the aftermath of the momentous events that unfolded in 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker. Kennedy also revealed that two additional Star Wars films are in the works, providing fans with a broader range of thrilling adventures and the opportunity to delve deeper into the rich tapestry of the Star Wars universe. The first of these films will be directed by the acclaimed James Mangold, the visionary director of the smash-hit movie Logan, as well as the upcoming film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
