Breaking News: Amazon’s Latest Investment in Revolutionary ChatGPT Technology
In a stunning move, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has announced that the company is putting all its chips into the Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI basket, the same technology behind AI chatbots like ChatGPT. According to Jassy, Amazon’s massive investment in LLMs is set to transform virtually every customer experience in the company.
But that’s not all. Amazon’s goal is to offer less costly machine learning chips, so small and large companies can afford to train and run their LLMs in production. This announcement was made alongside the unveiling of Amazon’s new service called Bedrock that makes foundation models accessible to clients via an API. Bedrock essentially makes foundation models available from AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Stability AI, and Amazon to clients, which will undoubtedly “change the game for people,” according to Jassy.
And it doesn’t stop there. Jassy also touts AWS’s CodeWhisperer, another AI-powered tool that generates code suggestions in real-time. He said that it “revolutionizes developer productivity.”
Despite the challenges Amazon faced last year, Jassy is optimistic about what lies ahead. In his letter to shareholders, Jassy reflected on leading Amazon through “one of the harder macroeconomic years in recent memory” but noted that he finds himself “optimistic and energized by what lies ahead.” Jassy believes that Amazon’s best days are yet to come.
